Banyule Hawks Basketball Club regularly run a range of fun events designed to improve engagement with basketball and improve the skills of players and coaches at every level.

Mini Hawks – Term 4

This program will provide opportunities for younger children (5-8yos) to start developing some fundamental skills and knowledge of the rules of basketball. The environment is fun, encouraging and non-competitive.

The Mini Hawks program will run at the Macleod YMCA (157 Wungan Street, Macleod) for 6 weeks on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Term 4 and will be grouped into ages:
Wednesdays 4:15 – 5pm from 10th November to 15th December – this session is for 5-6yos
Wednesdays 5:10 – 5:55pm from 10th November to 15th December – this session is for 7-8yos
SOLD OUT – Thursdays 4:15 – 5pm from 11th November to 16th December – this session is for 5-6yos
Thursdays 5:10 – 5:55pm from 11th November to 16th December – this session is for 7-8yos

In PlayHQ there is just a single registration form. On the registration form you will need to indicate if you would prefer the Wednesday or Thursday session or whether your child can attend either afternoon. Children will then be allocated to either Wednesday or Thursday and you will be notified via email. The earlier sessions of 4:15-5pm will be for children aged 5-6yo and the later sessions of 5:10-5:55pm for children aged 7-8yo.

The cost for the 6 weeks is $55 per child (plus a $5 Basketball Victoria insurance fee which will be charged upon registration).

If your child is a new participant to the program then they will receive a size 5 basketball as part of their registration.

For those children who have previously attended please ensure you bring your ball and a drink bottle to all sessions.
